Peppa Pig Owner Will Buy for $ 4 Billion

The largest toy company in the world, which already owns the rights to Transformers, Monopoly, Jeng and My Little Pony, decided to make the purchase.

Hasbro, the largest toy company in the world, is buying the Canadian company Entertainment One, which owns the rights to the popular children’s animated series Peppa Pig.

This was reported on the Hasbro website on Saturday, August 24th.

The deal is scheduled to be completed before the end of the year. It is valued at $ 4 billion. After this transaction, Entertaiment One shares rose 30%.

This is the largest agreement in the history of Hasbro, which is three times the amount proposed by the British media group ITV to the creators of the popular cartoon three years ago.

Hasbro already owns the rights to brands such as Transformers, My Little Pony, Monopoly, Genga.

Peppa Pig has been released in the UK since 2004. For 15 years, 241 episodes have been released. The series is so popular that children in the USA after watching the episodes begin to speak with a British accent.

Recall that earlier fans set a record by throwing almost 35 thousand soft toys onto the ice.

It was also reported that in Paris, a pensioner was convicted of 700 thefts in toy stores.
